HOME CARE AIDE
Home care aides support people who face challenges in performing the activities of daily living to live as independently and safe as possible.
The Home Care Aide (HCA) Training Program in Olympia, WA was designed for individuals across Thurston, Mason, and Lewis counties desiring to work in private homes, Adult Family Homes, and Assisted Living Facilities. The DSHS approved 75-hour Home Care Aide Training Program consists of both online and classroom training across Washington state.
The S&H Olympia, WA Home Care Aide Training Program is a course that has 43 hours of online training and 32 hours of classroom training. Students work independently with the online portion of the class, then come to the S&H Training Center for the Mental Health, Dementia, and skills classes.
The in-person classes are each offered once a month. Classes can be taken in most any order, but all online classes must be completed before you can taking the skills classes.
Upon successful completion of the Home Care Aide classes in Olympia and Washington State, students will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Home Care Aide program. They are also eligible to take the State Exam for home care aides to become state-certified through Prometric.
S&H Training Center is also a testing site for Prometric (we do not schedule the test, we just host the test). If you would like to take your HCA test at our Olympia, WA location, contact Prometric and give them our testing site code: WAREGOLMP
