Approved by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), this training program in Olympia and online provides certification in Traumatic Brain Injury Specialty for long-term care workers across Washington state.

State-approved Traumatic Brain Injury course curriculum covers:

• anatomy of the brain and brain injuries basics

• brain injury management

• behavior, mood and cognition intervention and resolution

• communication

• self-care

The one-day TBI class also includes a competency exam, which requires a score of 80% or higher to successfully receive a DSHS-approved TBI Certificate and 8 hours of Continuing Education units.

Our TBI class is offered once a quarter via zoom. More classes will be added if needed.
