Our Olympia, WA Aids and HIV certificate training course meets the Washington State requirements for the 7 hour HIV/AIDS Prevention, Education and Training program set forth by the Washington State Department of Health HIV Prevention and Education Services.
This course covers:
Etiology and epidemiology of HIV worldwide and in Washington State.
Factors affecting risk for transmission of HIV for the general public and among health care workers.
Confidentiality and legal reporting requirements for HIV/AIDS.
Psychosocial issues associated with HIV/AIDS including issues for care providers, families and special populations.
The one-day Aids and HIV certificate training course in Olympia and Washington also includes a competency exam, which requires a score of 80% or higher to successfully receive a HIV/AIDS Certificate.
This Aids and HIV training class is offered once a month for nursing assistants in Olympia and Thurston, Mason, and Lewis counties.
